Our Facility was

established in 1950.

Pullar Cold Storage (Pullar’s) is a family owned business located in Cobram Victoria, 3 hours north of Melbourne. The business was originally based at Ardmona after Philip Pullar’s grandfather established an orchard in the 1880s. The family moved to Cobram in 1912 to take advantage of a better climate and irrigation water from the Murray. The cold storage facility was established in 1950 when the first cool room was built. It started as a relatively small, refrigerated storage facility, only used for fruit with 8 small cool rooms. In 1987 Pullar’s expanded to offer greater capacity and cheese storage due to an increase in demand from the dairy industry. The next two decades saw this demand continue to increase, along with the storage facility, leading to a multi-million dollar expansion in 2002. During that time Pullar’s have established long lasting relationships with their clients, and now have 23 cold storage rooms with a holding capacity of up to 17,500 refrigerated pallets.

    Dean PullarDirector

Growing up in Cobram on his father’s farm, Dean has been involved in the business from a young age. Moving away to boarding school in Melbourne, Dean was able to pursuit other passions outside of the family business, including springboard diving. After completing high school Dean moved to Brisbane to accept a Diving scholarship at the Australian Institute of Sport. Over the next decade Dean trained and competed at the highest level internationally, culminating in 2000 with a Bronze Medal at the Sydney Olympics in the Men’s 3m Synchronised Event. Dean returned to the family business in 2002, and under the guidance of his father Philip, helped manage the fruit orchard and expand the cold storage business. Pullar’s has transformed since selling the orchard in 2011 and Dean, along with management and staff, have concentrated on providing a high quality storage experience to clients.
